लाइफस्टाइल डेस्क. इजिप्ट के हेराक्लिओन शहर में 1200 साल पुराना मंदिर मिला है। इसकी खोज इजिप्ट और यूरोप के पुरातत्वविदों ने मिलकर की है। उनके मुताबिक, करीब हजार पहले मंदिर के साथ कुछ नाव भी डूबी थीं। जिसमें तांबे के सिक्कों के अलावा ज्वैलरी भी मिली है। पानी में मिले पिलर शहर के मुख्य मंदिर के हैं जिसे स्कैनिंग डिवाइस की मदद से तलाशा गया है।

हेराक्लिओन को इजिप्ट का अटलांटिस कहते हैं

  1. पुरातत्वविदों के मुताबिक, मंदिर उत्तरी हिस्से में मिला है जिसे इजिप्ट का अटलांटिस कहा जाता है। पानी की गहराई में ग्रीक मंदिर मिला है जो काफी हद बिखरा हुआ है। मंदिर के पिलर के अलावा मिट्टी के बर्तन भी मिले हैं। जो तीसरी और चौथी शताब्दी के हैं। डूबी हुई नावों से मिले तांबे के सिक्के राजा क्लाडियस टॉलमी द्वितीय के कार्यकाल के हैं। कई इमारतें भी मिली हैं जो काफी दूर तक फैली हैं।

  2. इसकी खोज करने वाली टीम को पानी की तली में कई प्राचीन शिप भी मिले हैं। इसमें क्रॉकरी, सिक्के और ज्वैलरी से भरा बर्तन पाया गया, जो चौथी शताब्दी का है। टीम के मुताबिक, हेराक्लिओन को कभी मंदिरों का शहर कहा जाता था। सुनामी के कारण यह शहर पूरी तरह तबाह हो गया था। इसे व्यापार का अहम केंद्र भी माना जाता था। जिसे अब अबू-किर खाड़ी के नाम से जाना जाता है।

  3. 12 साल पहले भी आर्कियोलॉजिस्ट डॉ. फ्रेंक गोडियो को इजिप्ट के तटीय इलाके में फ्रेंच युद्धपोत मिले थे जो 18वीं शताब्दी के थे। डॉ. फ्रेंक गोडियो के मुताबिक, करीब 4 साल की मशक्कत के बाद ऐसा करना संभव हो पाया था। इस शहर के कितने हिस्से में लोग रहते थे केवल इसका नक्शा तैयार करने में एक साल से अधिक का समय लगा था। माना जाता है कि शहर जब बसाया गया था तब पानी का स्तर बढ़ रहा था।
