चंडीगढ़. पुलिस की सिफारिशों पर इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया स्थित पारा क्लब में अगले दो महीनों तक लिकर सर्व नहीं की जा सकेगी। अभी तक की सबसे बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एक्साइज डिपार्टमेंट ने इस क्लब का लिकर लाइसेंस दो महीनों के लिए सस्पेंड कर दिया है।
पुलिस ने हाल ही में एक्साइज एंड टैक्सेशन डिपार्टमेंट को एक लेटर भेजा था। इसमें सिफारिश की गई थी कि डीसी के निर्देशों का उल्लघंन करते हुए यहां पर बार-बार रात 1 बजे के बाद भी क्लब और बार खुला रखा जाता है। पिछले पांच महीने में पुलिस ने चार एफआईआर भी इस यूनिट के खिलाफ दर्ज की हैं।
पुलिस की रिकमेंडेशन को ध्यान में रखते हुए अब दो महीनों के लिए लिकर लाइसेंस रद्द किया गया है। शुक्रवार को एडिशनल एक्साइज एंड टैक्सेशन कमिश्नर राकेश पोपली ने ये निर्देश जारी किए। वहीं, सेक्टर-35 के जेडब्ल्यू मैरियट में भी बिना होलोग्राम और जिस ब्रांड को अप्रूवल नहीं, उसकी शराब की बोतल मिली थी। अब होटल की तरफ से अपना रिप्लाई फाइल किया गया है।
डिपार्टमेंट से एडिशनल कमिश्नर ने क्लेरिफिकेशन मांगी है और इस मंगलवार को अगली तारीख इसको लेकर रखी है।
