उत्तर प्रदेश का “ठोक दो” अभियान जारी है खबर है की यूपी एसटीएफ ने मुख्तार अंसारी गैंग से जुड़े और मुख्तार अंसारी के करीबी एक अहम् शूटर एक लाख के इनामी बदमाश राकेश उर्फ हनुमान पांडेय का लखनऊ में एनकाउंटर कर दिया। वह 2005 में गाजीपुर में विधायक कृष्णानंद हत्याकांड में भी शामिल था।
उत्तर प्रदेश एसटीएफ के आईजी अमिताभ यश ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि राकेश का एनकाउंटर सरोजिनीनगर थाने के पास कर दिया गया। राकेश पांडेय बाहुबली नेता मुख्तार अंसारी और माफिया मुन्ना बजरंगी का करीबी था। बजरंगी की हत्या के बाद राकेश पांडेय अंसारी गैंग का बड़ा शूटर बन गया था।
राकेश पांडेय उर्फ़ हनुमान पांडेय का लम्बा आपराधिक इतिहास रहा है राजधानी लखनऊ के साथ साथ उसके खिलाफ मऊ, गाजीपुर,और रायबरेली में भी कई तरह के गंभीर मामलों के मुक़दमे दर्ज हैं।
गौरतलब है कि नवम्बर 2005 में गाजीपुर के मोहम्मदाबाद के बीजेपी विधायक कृष्णानंद रे की हत्या कर दी गयी थी। जिसमे एके-47 से लैस करीब आधा दर्जन बदमाशों द्वारा विधायक के काफिले को घेरकर 400 से भी ज्यादा गोलियां बरसाकर कृष्णानंद सहित 7 लोगों की हत्या कर दी गयी थी। कृष्णानंद राय के काफिले पर हमला कराने का आरोप मुन्ना बजरंगी पर लगा था, जिसने मुख्तार के इशारे पर वारदात को अंजाम दिया था। राकेश पांडेय भी इस हमले में शामिल था।
