उत्तराखंड के क्रिकेट प्रेमियों के लिए एक अच्छी खबर आयी है। देहरादून में महाराणा प्रताप स्टेडियम में दो बड़े खेलों की मेजबानी होने वाली है। भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआइ) ने 2021-22 के घरेलू सत्र में सीनियर महिला वनडे और टी-20 प्रतियोगिता की मेजबानी उत्तराखंड को दी है। इसके अलावा उत्तराखंड की पुरुष और महिला टीम इस सत्र में बीसीसीआइ की सभी घरेलू प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभाग करेगी।
बता दें कि बीसीसीआई ने 2021-22 घरेलू सत्र में आयोजित होने वाले सीनियर महिला वनडे और टी-20 प्रतियोगिताओं की मेजबानी का मौका उत्तराखंड को दिया है। अगर सब कुछ ठीक रहा तो इसके बाद सीनियर पुरुष वनडे और टी-20 मैच भी देहरादून में खेले जाएंगे। क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन ऑफ उत्तराखंड ने इन मुकाबलों की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। एसोसिएशन के प्रवक्ता संजय गुसाईं बताते हैं कि बीसीसीआई ने घरेलू प्रतियोगिताओं का शेड्यूल जारी कर दिया है। इसके अनुसार सीनियर महिला वन-डे प्रतियोगिता के एलीट-ए ग्रुप के मुकाबलों की मेजबानी उत्तराखंड को मिली है।
हालांकि, सीनियर महिला वन डे और टी-20 प्रतियोगिता में उत्तराखंड के मुकाबले पुणे में आयोजित होंगे।
गौरतलब है कि पूर्व में देहरादून के महाराणा प्रताप क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में बांग्लादेश और अफगानिस्तान की 20-20 सीरीज हो चुकी हैं।
