आखिरकार कोरोना का शिकार अब गांधी शताब्दी अस्पताल भी हो गया है । अस्पताल में भर्ती एक गर्भवती, एक स्टाफ नर्स, एक लैब टेक्नीशियन और एक लैब अटेंडेंट में कोरोना की पुष्टि हुई है। कोरोना के एक साथ चार मामले आने के बाद मंगलवार को ज्यादातर चिकित्सक-कर्मचारी अस्पताल ही नहीं पहुंचे। इसके अलावा मरीजों में भय के चलते वे भी वापस लौट गए। फिलहाल अभी अस्पताल 48 घंटे के लिए बंद कर दिया गया है। यहां से ज्यादातर मरीज पटेलनगर स्थित श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल शिफ्ट कर दिए गए हैं।
सीएमएस डॉ. भागीरथी जंगपांगी ने बताया कि सोमवार को एक महिला मरीज में कोरोना की पुष्टि हुई थी। इसके अलावा मंगलवार को अस्पताल की ही एक स्टाफ नर्स समेत तीन कर्मचारियों में कोरोना की पुष्टि हुई है। स्थिति को देखते हुए अस्पताल में आपात बैठक की गई। संक्रमितों के संपर्क में आए सभी चिकित्सकों व स्टाफ की कोरोना जांच करवाई जाएगी। फिलहाल अस्पताल 48 घंटे के लिए बंद रहेगा। यह प्रयास किया जा रहा है कि ओपीडी जल्द बहाल कर दी जाए। साथ ही अस्पताल परिसर को सैनिटाइज करवाया जा रहा है।
