छिंदवाड़ा। जिले की लावाघोघरी कस्बे में गौवंश तस्करी का मामला सामने आया है। पुलिस ने शुक्रवार सुबह गौवंश से भरे एक ट्रक को टेकाड़ी के जंगल में घेराबंदी कर पकड़ा। ट्रक में 35 मवेशी भरे गए थे। पुलिस ने जब ट्रक के अंदर देखा उसमें 16 गौवंश मरे हुए मिले । गौवंश तस्करी के मामले में चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
जानकारी के अनुसार पुलिस ने ट्रक के पीछे चल रही कार भी पकड़ी है। पुलिस ने कार में सवार तीन तस्करों के साथ ट्रक से एक युवक को दबोचा गया है। वहीं अंधेरे का फायदा उठाकर चालक फरार हो गया।
एसआई एके उईके ने बताया कि मुखबिर से सूचना मिली थी कि मोरडोंगरी की ओर से गौवंश से भरा ट्रक महाराष्ट्र की ओर जा रहा है। शुक्रवार तड़के लगभग 4.30 बजे टेकाड़ी के जंगल में घेराबंदी कर ट्रक को रोका गया। जिसमें 35 मवेशियों को भरा गया था। इनमें से 16 मवेशियों की मौत हो गई। पुलिस ने चार तस्करों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके खिलाफ गौवंश अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है।
